Terms of Service

1. What PingCab is
PingCab is a marketplace operated by Ashwrk Ltd, 14–16 Stanley Street, Holyhead, Anglesey LL65 1HG ("we"). We connect riders with independent, licensed taxi firms ("operators") in North Wales. The transport service is provided by the operator you book with, not by PingCab. Your contract for the journey is with that operator; our service is arranging the booking.
2. Bookings and fees
- Fares are quoted before you book, based on the road distance of your trip and the vehicle type. The quoted fare is what you pay for the journey.
- A connection fee applies to each ride booked through the app: 5% of the fare, with a minimum of £1.00 and a maximum of £2.50. It is shown before you book.
- You pay by card in the app: your saved card is charged the fare plus the connection fee when the ride completes. The fare goes to the taxi firm; PingCab receives only the connection fee.
- Pre-booked rides are confirmed by the operator and sent to its drivers 30 minutes before pickup.
3. Cancellations
- Nothing is charged until your ride completes — cancelling beforehand costs nothing, though frequent late cancellations may restrict your account.
- If no driver is available, nothing is charged.
- Operators may cancel where necessary (e.g. vehicle breakdown); you'll be notified and nothing is charged.
4. Operators and drivers
Operators are responsible for holding valid private-hire operator licences, and for their drivers' and vehicles' licensing, insurance and roadworthiness, as required by their local licensing authority. Document verification in the app is a marketplace trust feature and does not replace the operator's legal obligations. Drivers' pay and working arrangements are between drivers and their operator.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the platform: no fraudulent bookings, no abuse of drivers, riders or staff, no attempts to circumvent fees, no unlawful content in chat. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or put others at risk.
6. Our liability
We provide the marketplace with reasonable skill and care. We are not the carrier and are not liable for the acts or omissions of operators or drivers, save where liability cannot be excluded by law (nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Our total liability to you in connection with the app is limited to £100 or the fees you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
7. Your account
You must be 18+ to book rides. Keep your account details accurate. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account).
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; significant changes will be notified in the app. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: support@ping-cab.com.
